From a Personal Sketchbook to a Global Art Community
Drawing Life began in 2019 in London as a personal art journal by outdoor and urban sketch artist Nab Zamali, sharing the process and thinking behind his sketches, paintings, and artworks. It has since grown into an international art community and virtual Art Club, connecting thousands of art enthusiasts worldwide through the Drawing Life Art Club Facebook community — all united by one shared passion: drawing.

2018
Sketchbook Beginnings
Nab Zamali starts sketching daily in London, filling notebooks with urban studies and life drawings.
2019
Drawing Life Is Founded
The personal sketchbook becomes Drawing Life — a public journal sharing the process and thinking behind each piece.
2021
Blog Expands
New galleries and tutorials launch, covering urban sketching, life drawing, and watercolour techniques.
2023
A Global Art Club
Drawing Life grows into an international community of thousands, connected through the Drawing Life Art Club on Facebook.
